Short Story
United States
My name is Mohanad Al-Najjar, a father of two daughters, Lia and Yusra. I used to live a simple life, like any father trying to provide a safe and comfortable home for his family. But the war changed everything.
During those dark days, I lost everything – my home, which once sheltered my family and held our cherished memories; my job, which was our source of livelihood; and worst of all my ability to be with my wife and children.
My wife, Gavin, had to leave Gaza to seek medical attention for my youngest, Yusra, who is bravely fighting cancer. It was a difficult decision but one we had to make to save her life. Now they are in Turkey for Yusra’s treatment while I remain in Gaza, alone, amongst the ruins that was once my home.
Today, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. I need your support to:
1. Help cover Yusra’s medical treatment, as she continues her courageous battle against cancer.
2. Rebuikd my destroyed home, so family can once again have a place to feel safe and secure.
3. Join my wife and daughters, because being separated from them is a pain I carry every single day.
I humbly ask for your kindness and generosity. Any help, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. – giving me hope, helping me hold my daughter in my arms again, and allowing me to see her smile, which I’ve missed for so long.
May God bless your kindness and keep you united with your loved ones in peace and happiness.
For those willing to help, please reach out through the available contact channels.
Together, we can restore hope.
All funds will go directly to Mohanand via paypal or IBAN from me, Adrea Henry. I work on several campaigns and am trying my best to be of assistance during this criminal occupation that the West is trying to cover up.
April 5th, 2025 Mohanand was bombed while in his tent. He was martyred. Thank God he was able to receive the bulk of the funds just 4 days earlier. All funds will now go to his wife to continue to help cover his daughter’s cancer treatments.
Mohanand’s family feels his absence and miss him daily. He had a smile on his face the last time one of his cousin’s saw him that day. I humbly ask that you continue to give in Mohanand’s memory, to his daughter.
Sincerely,
Adrea H.
